Thank you King Dino Nerd! I'm not worried about squarespace and sites like that. In fact I know of some silly small companies fired their development team expecting web builders to solve all their problems. Some genius executive at the company's thought "why pay a person a full salary when we can pay $9.99 a month to do the same job?". Now they are basically bankrupt

Hi Stef! Short, concise question – If you work on your own web app business, what are your preferred ways of balancing marketing and the product-development/coding? Both seem to be very large tasks …

I am going to school for Computer Science programming transfer and minor. Most smart people get double BA. I thought it smarter to double minor one at a time. My transfer is done and now I am in C# class. I am 47 and noted permanently disabled and don’t have to pay my loans when I am done with financial aid, like Elizabeth Warren is working on. However in the claim if I go back to school then the loans come back on, stupid. I am actually poor as well. I am hoping to go to work for some body and transition when good time is to freelancing app design. I have a design certification as well and could get to making desktop and laptops with a team. I would like to work for Apple or whom ever but my poor status makes me think of elitist idiots with $40,000 desktops as out of touch with reality and what the true history of computing science is supposed to be. It is supposed to make life easier connected and cost effective. $40,000 dollars for a desktop is insanity’s royalties, which is some entity’s hand controlling you through manipulation rather than you being informed formally and educated to self governance. May the Lord show mercy and prosperity promotion.

Thank you for this video. Same as photography as soon as the workflow can be faster it's a positive.
Concerning CMS, I have never worked for any big companies using this. It's even a chance if the clients I worked for where using Symphony framework…
I think the big companies working with the big IT companies are too slow. They are miles lagging in term of technologies especially the banks.
And the reason is simple and you said it yourself once a company has chosen a technology they don't wanna change it and sometimes even if one can demonstrate the loss of money not moving on.
I am starting to follow your advices to aim at little businesses and it is more enjoyable in the sense that I can finally play with the technologies I want to work with. That's a big change compared to being in big IT companies stuck and wrist-tied by their clients. Probably could you do a video on that topic.

I think solving the problems in WordPress simulates the problems of a real programmer, where the most important ability is the art of solving eternally existing problems 🙂

What would you say concerning using templates to build a website? I’ve noticed that it’s a great way to learn and understand web development. But is this a good approach? Using templates, editing them and adding more logic to it using a framework like Django ?

Love the videos, but wanted to ask do you think that someone should work for a few years as a developer first before trying to start their own freelance business or can they just learn along the way while they are in business?

it's kinda crazy, maybe is much more valuable to just build a slider with css than have to study a slider library to implement

Other alternatives are MS Share Point and Life Ray Application Portal for Java. Life Ray does let you do more hard core development while giving you a good security module and dashboard management

Personally I consider CMS as being basically the same as a framework, just with an existing administrative interface and a dynamic text management system. Most of my work has been wrapping custom functionality in a WP plugin or Drupal module. I appreciate the content on this channel!
